Karen Sue Miley

            Funeral service for Karen Sue (Rector) Tyler Miley, age 72, former Frederick resident, of Kingston, Oklahoma, was held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 17, 2018, at Orr Gray Gish Chapel with Rev. Les Banks and Dean Newville, officiating.

Karen passed away Monday, May 14, 2018, at an Oklahoma City hospital. Burial was in the Frederick Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Orr Gray Gish Funeral Home, of Frederick.

A family and friends reception will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

She was born December 26, 1945, in Frederick, Oklahoma, to Charlie and Alma (Powell) Rector. She attended Frederick schools. On November 2, 1962, she was united in marriage to Jimmy Tyler in Frederick. He preceded her in death on September 30, 2005. She worked at Schlegel’s and at Frederick Golf and Country Club. She was later united in marriage to Howard Miley on December 27, 2009. They resided near Lake Texoma in Kingston, Oklahoma. She loved spending time with family, especially grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of Bible Baptist Church in Frederick.

In addition to her parents and her husband Jimmy Tyler, she was preceded in death by her son: Timothy Tyler; and a daughter: Jana Kay Tyler; three sisters: Odessa Hasley, Colleen Coleman and Laquita Brown and five brothers: Clifford Rector, Hubert Rector, Johnny Rector, Pete Rector and Jimmy Don Rector.
