Deanna Maness

            Funeral service for Deanna Jane Maness, age 78, formerly of Frederick, Oklahoma and Vernon, Texas, was held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 7, 2018, at the Burkhardt Chapel of the Frederick Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Brent Morey officiating.             Deanna passed away Easter Sunday, April 01, 2018, at a nursing and rehab center in Tyler, Texas. Burial was under the direction of Orr Gray Gish Funeral Home.             A family and friends reception was held Friday evening from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.             She was born August 5, 1939, in Frederick, Oklahoma, to Arthur D. and Lola Jane (Morris) Pace. She grew up in Frederick and attended Frederick schools graduating with the Class of 1957. She worked for over 30 years in Law Enforcement as a Deputy Sheriff/Jailer at Tillman, Wichita and Wilbarger Counties. She served on the board of directors for: Texas Jail Association, Southwestern Bell and Wichita Company Credit Union. She was the first female inducted in to the Texas Jail Hall of Fame. She also had worked several years at Professional Counseling Solutions. She was formerly a member of Eastside Baptist Church, Vernon, Texas, and more recently she was a member of Bible Baptist Church of Frederick.             She was preceded in death by her father: Arthur Pace on April 5, 1965, and her mother: Lola Pace on January 16, 1976; and a sister: Drudie Timms on July 2, 2003.             Survivors include three sons: Donald Maness, Troup, Texas, Larry Maness and wife Terry, of Palmdale, California, and Randy Maness, of Orange, California; nine grandchildren: Jarrod, Ginny, Derek, Matthew, Joshua, Kassie, Carrie, Trisha and Michael; and 13 great grandchildren.             Memorial contributions may be sent to the American Diabetes Association, 3000 United Founders Blvd. #110, Oklahoma City, OK 73112, or to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
