Elmer Herman Southerland

            Funeral service for Elmer Herman Southerland, age 75, of Tipton, Oklahoma, was held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 10, 2018, at the First Baptist Church of Tipton with Rev. Johnny Flores officiating.             Mr. Southerland passed away Tuesday, March 06, 2018, at his home in Tipton. Burial was in the Tipton Municipal Cemetery under the direction of Orr Gray Gish & Tipton Funeral Homes.             He was born on November 3, 1942, in Chickasha, Oklahoma, to Ernest Elmer and Parthena Lucille (Muchmore) Southerland. He attended Laing schools. He worked at the Tipton Farmers COOP until his retirement. He loved OU Softball, fishing, dancing, watching western shows and especially loved sitting outside and visiting with family. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include one daughter: Lisa Kay Lemons; four  brothers: Calvin Southerland, Rocky, Bobby and Jeff; eight sisters: Virginia Flores, Barbara Trichell, Peggy Stevens, Oreda Smith, Kay Meza, Patty Flores, Rozelma “Ann” Simpson, and Debora Southerland; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and cousins.
