Funeral service for Kerry Joe Wayman, age 57, of Hollister, Oklahoma, was held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 23, 2018, at the Orr Gray Gish Chapel with Rev. Vivian Garza officiating. Mr. Wayman passed away Monday, February 19, 2018, at his home in rural Hollister. Arrangements were under the direction of Orr Gray Gish Funeral Home, Frederick, Oklahoma. A family and friends reception was held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home. He was born September 19, 1960, in Hugo, Oklahoma, to Cleo Joe and Elva Marie (McGary) Wayman. He grew up living in many different places with his father serving in the United States military both home and abroad. He graduated high school at Hanau, Germany. He was united in marriage to Rhonda June Speigel on October 19, 1980, in Lawton, Oklahoma. He worked for Standard Testing and Engineering for over 30 years and was employed there at the time of his passing. He lived in Lehigh, Kansas, and in 1989, he moved to Cache, Oklahoma, and then to Hollister, where he resided at the time of his death. He loved sports: playing sports, coaching sports and watching sports, especially the OU Sooners and New York Yankees. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved his family and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandkids. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife: Rhonda June Wayman, of the home in Hollister, Oklahoma; a son: Kevin Joe Wayman, Hollister; daughter: Jessica Peterson and husband Adam, of Edmond, Oklahoma; three brothers: Bobby Wayman and wife Brittany, Skiatook, Oklahoma, David Wayman and wife Shannon, Hollister, and Larry Wayman and wife Tina, of Lawton, Oklahoma; a sister: Pam Craig, of Lawton, Oklahoma; four grandchildren: Haylie Peterson, Peyton Peterson, Jordyn Peterson and Isaiah Wayman; mother-in-law: Jo Speigel, Lawton; two brothers-in-law: Rick Speigel and wife Beth, of Sachse, Texas, and Ronney Speigel, Wichita, Kansas; two sisters-in-law: Angel Townsend and husband George, Kent, Washington, J. D.
