Dillon Barnard

Funeral service for Dillon Barnard, age 22, of Frederick, Oklahoma, was held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 25, 2017, at First Baptist Church of Frederick with Reverend Les Banks officiating. Dillon passed away Friday, October 20, 2017, west of Frederick. Burial was in the Frederick Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Orr Gray Gish Funeral Home. He was born May 13, 1995, in Lawton, Oklahoma, to Dan Durward and Kim (Parks) Barnard. He attended Frederick school and graduated with honors from Frederick High School with the Class of 2013. He received his associate's degree in Applied Science at Western OK State College and had continued his education studying Criminal Justice.  While growing up, he was actively involved in 4-H activities and loved raising and showing animals. He was in the Cub Scouts & Boy Scouts and learned the aspect of building and racing Derby Cars with his Dad and brother Dustin. He enjoyed his Bicycles and Motorsports activities with his 4-Wheelers and Motorcycles.  He was also active in: hunting, fishing, camping, martial arts, baseball, football, golf, snow skiing, snowboarding and lifeguard duty at the Frederick City Pool. He held his first leadership role later as an officer in the FFA.  In his most recent activities, outside of college, he stayed active in automotive maintenance, enjoyed working at Sonic Drive-In, Subway Sandwich Shop helping his dad in 3-D Construction.  Dillon spent any free time learning the aspects of farm and equipment upkeep, and as we all Thank God for our green grass lawns, Dillon knew the fine art of Zero-Turn mowing, like no other.  Above all else, he loved helping his mom at Frederick Florist & Green House and was always deemed “Mom’s #1 Delivery Man”. He was also working as a jailer at the Tillman County Jail in Frederick and the Jackson County Jail in Altus. He is survived by his mother:  Kim Barnard, of Frederick; a brother: Dustin Barnard, Frederick; nieces:  Brystal and Ava Barnard; maternal grandparents:  Linda Parks of Snyder and Gary Parks of Walters; aunts:  Sherri Barnard and Danny Flores of Frederick, and Krysti Parks of Snyder; uncle:  Chad Parks and wife, Kristi of Choctaw. He was preceded in death by his father: Dan Barnard; and his paternal grandparents: Dan Durward Barnard, Sr. and Judith Ann (Albert) Barnard.
