Jessie Gutierrez

    Funeral service for Jessie Gutierrez, age 81, of Frederick, Oklahoma, was held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 4, 2017, at the Lighthouse Assembly of God Church, with Rev. Jimmy Chandler and Rev. Johnny Flores, officiating.             Mr. Gutierrez passed away Friday, March 31, 2017, at his home in Frederick, Oklahoma. Burial was in the Frederick Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Orr Gray Gish Funeral Home.             A family and friends gathering was held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home.             He was born November 30, 1935, in Victoria, Texas, to Manuel and Eulalia (De La Cruz) Gutierrez. As a young man, he was employed by Granite Monuments, which led him to Frederick, Oklahoma, where he met the love of his life. He was united in marriage to Mary G. Flores on May 17, 1962. Together they had five children and raised one granddaughter as their own. During his life, he worked as a truck driver and a farm hand for many years until he retired at the age of 74. He was a member of New Beginnings with Pastor Jimmy Chandler.             He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Mary (Flores) Gutierrez, on December 24, 1993; a son: Paul Gutierrez and two grandchildren.             Survivors include his children: Joe and Isabel Gutierrez, of Frederick, Oklahoma, Maria Elena Ruiz, of Mercedes, Texas; Margaret and Louis Martinez, of Frederick, Beatrice and Robbie Millsap, of Frederick, Josey Gutierrez, of Frederick, and Amanda Gutierrez, of Lawton, Oklahoma; two brothers: Antonio Gutierrez, of Frederick, and Santiago Gutierrez, of Waco, Texas; three sisters: Aurora Gutierrez, Frederick, Eulalia Garza, of Fort Worth, Texas; and Maria E. and Juan Gonzalez, of Frederick; 11 grandchildren: Eddie Ruiz, Johnny David Gutierrez, Justin Gutierrez, Joseph Gutierrez, Michelle Gutierrez, Stacy Martinez, Erica Riddle, Lance Gutierrez, Vanessa Pickrell, Savannah Chavez and Ruby Gutierrez; and 20 great grandchildren.Orr Gray Gish Funeral Home111 N. 11th StreetFrederick, OK 73542(580) 335-2112
