Funeral service for Claudene (Laney) Bradley, age 92, of Norman, formerly of Frederick, Oklahoma, was held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 8, 2017, at the Orr Gray Gish Chapel with Reverend Jim Antwine, nephew, officiating. Mrs. Bradley passed away Saturday, March 04, 2017, at her home in Norman, Oklahoma. Burial was in the Frederick Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Orr Gray Gish Funeral Home, Frederick, Oklahoma. She was born November 7, 1924, near Frederick, Oklahoma, to Nealis Carl “Ted” and Vera (Hanna) Laney. She grew up and attended various schools in Tillman County, including: Henderson #3, Weaver #13 and Victory #11. She graduated from Grandfield High School with the Class of 1941. She was united in marriage to Charles Weldon Bradley on October 14, 1942, in Walters, Oklahoma. After her husband’s military service, they lived in Grandfield before moving to Fritch, Texas, and then Borger, Texas. She worked as the office manager for a dental clinic in Borger. She was a member of the Bunavista Baptist Church. In 2014, she moved to Norman, Oklahoma, to be near family. She loved her Pomeranian friend “Laney”. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Charles Weldon Bradley on April 24, 1995; a brother: Duane Laney and a sister: Jana Sue Barry. Survivors include a son: Neal Bradley and wife Cecilia; a daughter: Jan Frye and husband Dick, all of Norman, Oklahoma; a sister: Reta Stone, also of Norman, Oklahoma; and one grandson Geron Adkins.
