Genie Lesniak

February 18, 1947 — August 17, 2016

            Leila G. "Genie" Lesniak went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 17, 2016. She passed away at her home in Frederick, Oklahoma, at the age of 69 years, five months and 30 days. She was born February 18, 1947, in Watonga, Oklahoma, to Leroy and Leila “Lee” (Autry) Bullock. As a child, she was active in Civic Organizations such as Bluebirds, Horizons and Camp Fire Girls of America. She attended Frederick schools. She worked in the banking/credit union business for over 15 years. Genie loved Jesus and served Him faithfully in many ways. She taught youth at First Baptist, Trinity Baptist and children at Lighthouse Assembly in Frederick. In the 70’s, she served Meals on Wheels in Tillman County. She was united in marriage to Stephen Lesniak on October 7, 1983, at Frederick, Oklahoma. Genie enjoyed traveling and camping with Steve to various places in the United States. She also enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as her church family at Lighthouse Assembly of God Church.             She was preceded in death by her parents: Lee & Leroy Bullock and Jack McQuilliams; three great grandchildren; a sister-in-law: Sherry Lesniak Cherry; and a brother-in-law: Greg Clift.             Survivors include her husband Stephen, of Frederick, Oklahoma; children: Danette Rivas and husband Carlos, of Frederick, Jeanette Gearhart and husband John, of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, Eddie Paul Fry and wife Kathy, of Oak Harbor, Washington; Kelly Vasquez, of Humbolt, Tennessee; Kerry McCoy and husband Jeff, of Jackson, Tennessee; lifelong friend/sister Peggy Williams and husband Tom, of Banning, California; siblings: Sharen Clift, Alvin, Allen, Jeff and Jimmy McQuilliams; one brother-in-law: Dale Lesniak and wife Gina, of Clinton, Tennessee and her mother-in-law: Beverly LaTaille, of Midwest City, Oklahoma; 15 grandchildren; and 22 great grandchildren.
