Juanita "Kay" (Webb) Oakes went to be with the Lord on Tuesday morning, May 24, 2016. She passed away at her home in Frederick, Oklahoma, at the age of 75 years, two months and 12 days. She was born March 12, 1941, in Clovis, New Mexico to Clarence and June (Webster) Webb. She grew up in Sun Ray, Texas and attended school there. After graduating from Sun Ray High School, she attended business college and studied accounting. She moved to southwest Oklahoma and lived in Frederick most all of her adult life. She worked at Howmet, in Wichita Falls, for BTR Sealing Systems, in Frederick and also at the Wildlife Refuge, Lawton/Fort Sill. She was united in marriage to Carter Harvey Oakes on December 25, 1990, at the Lois Long Building in Frederick, Oklahoma, with Reverend Vernon Floyd officiating. Kay was very passionate about her love for dogs, especially poodles, and provided a loving home for many breeds throughout the years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Frederick. She was preceded in death by her parents; two daughters: Dona Bradley, on May 19, 2003, and Juanita Childers, on January 6, 2012; and a sister: Barbara Joy Waldrop. Survivors include her husband: Carter Oakes, of the home in Frederick, Oklahoma; a son: Randy Oakes and wife Tracy, of Lawton, Oklahoma; a daughter: Cynthia Oakes-Robb and husband Peter, of Doha, Qatar; eight grandchildren: Jack Michael Baker, Andrew James Johnson, Cierra Dawn Dyer, Amber Renee Hayes, Tulsa Cheyanne Howard, Noah Caleb Bradley, Jenna Sue Oakes and Maya Robb; and nine great grandchildren: Jack Weston Baker, Gage Edward Baker, Zane Hause, Kenadi Hause, Scotty Dyer, Kayson Pope, Luke Austin Clark, Hannah Dona-Louise Johnson and Laney Joy Johnson.
