Barry Ray Doake passed away Sunday, February 7, 2016, at Fort Worth, Texas, at the age of 68 years, seven months and five days. He was born July 2, 1947, at Walters, Oklahoma, to George and Nettie Faye (Griffin) Doake. He grew up near Meers and attended Cache High School, leaving his senior year to join the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He served his country honorably including two tours to Vietnam. He was employed as a farm worker most all of his working life. He lived in and around the Hollister and Chattanooga areas until 2013, when he moved to Vernon, and then Granbury, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter: Jerrica Doake. Survivors include three sons: Brian Doake and wife Melissa, of Sentinel, Oklahoma, Mark Doake and wife Leigh Anne, of Granbury, Texas, and Adam Doake and wife Brittany, of Frederick, Oklahoma; a daughter: Ashley Doake and her fiancé Michael Beetem, of Grandfield, Oklahoma; one brother: Tommy Doake and wife Connie, of Ratliff City, Oklahoma; three sisters: Helen Pittman and husband Tom, of Sierra Vista, Arizona, Anita Thompson, Lawton, Oklahoma, and Carolyn Goeringer, also of Lawton, Oklahoma; nine grandchildren: Nikolas Hudgens, Branda Smith, Zander Doake, Angel Doake, Tatum Deason, Brianna Doake, Madisen Deason, Brandy White, and Jeremiah Beetem.Orr Gray Gish & Tipton Funeral Homes(580) 335-2112
