Jimmie Don Hickerson

Jimmie Don Hickerson went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 20, 2015. He passed away in Arlington, Texas, at the age of 65 years, six months and five days. He was born November 15, 1949, in Frederick, Oklahoma, to Robert Lynn "Bob" and Aldeen Lucille (Conditt) Hickerson. He grew up in Davidson, attending Davidson schools and graduated with the Class of 1968. He then graduated from Southwestern Oklahoma School of Pharmacy in 1973. He worked at Vernon Drug and Langston McFall Drug during summers while attending college. He moved to the Dallas/Fort Worth area and lived there for over 30 years. He worked for the same company for most all of his career although it was with Revco, Eckerd and then CVS, where he retired from in 2010 due to his health. He was a generous person and would do anything to help someone. He enjoyed gardening and all sorts of design. He loved his "puppy dogs", they were his babies. Also, he had special relationships and close bonds with his nieces and nephews.He was a member of the Methodist Church, at Davidson. He is survived by his companion: Jeffrey Douglas, of Arlington, Texas; sisters: Laquetta Ann Travis and husband Floyd, of Davidson, Oklahoma, Neva Lynn Kelly, of Frederick, and Debra Gene Williams and husband Jim, of Lindsay, Oklahoma; and a brother: Ronnie LeDale Hickerson, of Davidson, Oklahoma; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
