Dan Durward Barnard, Jr., went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 15, 2015. He passed away at Lawton, Oklahoma, at the age of 48 years, nine months and two days. He was born July 13, 1966, at Vernon, Texas, to Dan Durward and Judith Ann (Albert) Barnard. He grew up in Frederick and attended Frederick Public Schools. He dropped out of school after the eighth grade. While he didn't like school, he did understand the value of learning. He taught himself much and he did obtain his GED as well as pursing his dream of owning his own business and being his own boss. He was united in marriage to Kim Parks on August 5, 1990, at, Snyder, Oklahoma. He and Kim have been the owners and operators of Frederick Florist & Greenhouse since 1990. Dan also was the founder, owner and operator of 3-D Construction Company, where he was a skilled craftsman and an overall jack of all trades handyman. Dan could do all types of building and construction jobs. He was a modern day "Bob the Builder." He was a meticulous perfectionist when it came to his work. His work was his passion, but he enjoyed clowning around and often times, people didn't know when to take him serious. Dan enjoyed fishing, traveling and going to Harbor Freight. He loved his family and enjoyed watching his son's activities, especially shooting sports. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife: Kim, of the home, in Frederick, Oklahoma; two sons: Dustin Barnard and wife Skylar, and Dillon Barnard, all of Frederick, Oklahoma; sister: Sherri Barnard and Danny Flores, of Frederick, Oklahoma; nieces and nephew to include: Desere, Destiny and Madison; and a grandbaby girl on the way: Brystal.
