Joe Garza, Sr. went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 4, 2015. He died in Lawton, Oklahoma, at the age of 86 years and 26 days. He was born on February 6, 1929 in Hearn, Texas, to Jessie and Manuela Garza. He was united in marriage to Mary Gonzalez in October 1950 in Walters, Oklahoma. He later married Irma Garza on June 24, 1990, in Tipton, Oklahoma. He worked as a truck driver for C.W. Fowler Trucking, A & B Butane, and Republic Gypsum before retiring in 1994. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers: Raymond Garza, Martin Garza, and Manuel Garza; and five sisters: Louise Garza, Madalin Garza, Ortancia Garza, Mary Jones, and Wallie Garza. He is survived by his wife Irma, of the home; three sons: Joe Garza, Jr. and wife Janie, Johnny Garza and wife Deby, all of Frederick, Oklahoma, and Billy Wayne Garza and wife Violet, of Wichita Falls, Texas; two daughters: Carrol Brooks and husband Paul, of Vernon, Texas and Rosemary Ballard and husband Richard, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; six step-sons: Martin Lopez II and wife Alicia, Juan Lopez and wife Cindy, and Hugo Lopez, all of Frederick, Oklahoma, Jorge Lopez of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Jesus Lopez and wife Rosa, of Childress, Texas, and Jose Lopez and wife Janie, of Rio Grande City, Texas; six step-daughters: Elizabeth Lopez, Esmeralda Lopez and husband Rafelin, Sanjuanita Lopez and husband Nick, and Rosabel Lopez and husband Richard, all of Frederick, Oklahoma, Irma Lopez and husband Javier, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Maria Lopez and husband Juan, of Blair, Oklahoma; two brothers: Reverend Pete Garza, of Tipton, Oklahoma and James Garza, of Fort Worth, Texas; one sister: Jessie Sebree, of Frederick, Oklahoma; fifty-eight grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
