Donald Ray Kelly went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 18, 2014. He died at his home south of Frederick, at the age of 75 years, 11 months and 19 days. He was born December 29, 1938, southwest of Frederick, Oklahoma, to Clyde and Lora (Wofford) Kelly. He graduated from school at Weaver with the Class of 1957. He was an avid athlete while in school and excelled in both baseball and basketball. He was united in marriage to Sally Sims on October 13, 1962, in Frederick, Oklahoma, with Rev. Vernon Floyd officiating the ceremony. She preceded him in death on July 30, 2009. He entered the United States Army and served honorably until his discharge on May 1, 1965. He was the longtime owner/operator of Kelly Tractor Repair Shop equipped with a field service truck. He also was proud to be a Tillman County farmer and rancher. He served many years on the Davidson City Council. Don will be remembered for his colorful character and sense of humor. In addition to his wife Sally, he was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister: Nancy Miller. Survivors include a daughter: Deneen DeWeese, of Iowa Park, Texas; a son: Robert Kelly and wife Pam, of Frederick, Oklahoma; two brothers: Kenneth Kelly and wife Neva, of Frederick, Oklahoma, and Jimmie Clyde Kelly and wife Twala, of Frederick, Oklahoma; three sisters: Betty Joyce Phillips and husband Damon, of Duncan, Oklahoma, Patsy Hiser, Farmington, New Mexico, and Doris Moore and husband Ronnie, of Enid, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren: Evan Kelly, Christina (Kelly) & husband Phillip Birdwell, Whitney (DeWeese) Laster and husband Josh, Madison DeWeese, Corde DeWeese, Marlee DeWeese and Cable DeWeese; eight great grandchildren: Gabriella, Alisa, Jaci, Remington, Kathryn, Autumn, J.T., Korvin and one on the way.
