June Hix

Logie "June" Hix went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 29, 2014. She died in Norman, Oklahoma, at the age of 87 years, five months and 28 days. She was born on December 31, 1926, in Frederick, Oklahoma, to William Logan and Bertha Adaline (Faubion) Baird. She grew up in Frederick and attended Frederick schools. She was united in marriage to J. B. Hix on July 18, 1946, at Vernon, Texas. She worked as a seamstress for Kellwood's and Centra Leather Goods from 1960 to 1976. She was a homemaker and member of the First Baptist Church of Frederick. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 61 years: J. B. Hix, on April 21, 2008; and a sister: Yvonne McCune. Survivors include her son: William Kenneth Hix and wife Florence, of Moore, Oklahoma; four grandchildren: Kenneth Hix, John Hix, James Hix and Michelle Hix; nine great grandchildren: Maryanne, Michael, Angelica, Christopher, Anthony, Andrew, Timmy, Abigail and Brandon; and one great great grandchild: Aspen Ponce.
