Trella Mahoney

Trella Mahoney went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 2, 2014. She died in Altus, Oklahoma, at the age of 88 years, one month and 22 days. She was born February 11, 1926, in Frederick, Oklahoma, to Earl and Mourin (Brittain) Whittler. She grew up and attended Frederick schools, graduating from Frederick High School. After school, she began working at her dad's business, Whittler Case Implement Company. She went on to work as a bookkeeper at O. E. Brittain Motor Company. Later she worked for Gish Home Furnishings as bookkeeper. She kept books for David and Helen Gish personally as well as the furniture store and then also the funeral home for over 50 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Frederick. Survivors include a son: David Earl Mahoney; four cousins: Joyce Varner, of Grandfield, Oklahoma, Barbara Todd and husband Rick, of Phoenix, Arizona, Marilyn Rae, Phoenix, Arizona, Carolyn Brady, of Oak Harbor, Washington and Tom Cockrell, also of Oak Harbor, Washington; numerous extended cousins and special friends Lynda Stewart and Mary Briscoe.
