Margaret Haight

Margaret A. Haight went to be with the Lord on December 23, 2013. She died at her son's home in Lone Grove, Oklahoma, at the age of 91 years, five months and 21 days. She was born July 2, 1922, in Grandfield, Oklahoma, to William Payton and Nettie Lorena (Hodges) Dean. She graduated from Hollister High School with the Class of 1940. She attended Cameron College and was united in marriage to Wallace E. "Wally" Haight on October 31, 1942. She worked as an operator and service representative for General Telephone Company. She was a member of the Tesca Baptist Church. In 1995, due to her husband's health, she moved to Ardmore, Oklahoma, to be near family. While in Ardmore, she joined the First Baptist Church and played the piano for her Sunday School Class. She was preceded in death by her husband Wallace, on August 25, 1995; five sisters: Clara Dillingham, Gladys Jensen, Mabel James, Vera Alexander, and Ruby Eckhart; a brother: Lawrence Dean. Survivors include a son: Ron Haight, of Lone Grove, Oklahoma; two daughters: Mauna Lia, Ardmore, Oklahoma and Barbara Murray, of Kansas City, Missouri; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
