J. C. Jacobs

James C. "J. C." Jacobs, Jr. went to be with the Lord on Friday, October 25, 2013. He died in Frederick, Oklahoma, at the age of 75 years. He was born on July 27, 1938, to James C. Sr. and Marguerite (Harris) Jacobs in Grandfield, Oklahoma. He grew up in the Loveland and Hollister community and graduated from Loveland High School in 1956. He and Paula Washburn were united in marriage on July 27, 1957. They made their home in Frederick and later moved to Denton, Texas, but made their way back to Frederick area. J.C. farmed the land his grandfather homesteaded in 1907, in the Big Pasture area. This land remains in the Jacobs' family. He also worked on aircraft at Brantley Helicopter in Frederick, Bell Helicopter in Texas, Shepherd Air Force Base, and at Altus Air Force Base until his retirement. He then did custom cotton harvesting for several years. He was a Master Mason of Frederick Blue Lodge #249 and a 32nd Degree Mason Scottish Rite of Guthrie Consistory. He was a member of the Tesca Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Paula, of the home; one daughter Stacie and and husband Phil Hall, of Gainesville, Texas; two sons: J. Frank and wife Kerri Jacobs and Doug and Sherri Jacobs, all of Frederick, Oklahoma; six grandchildren: Jacob Hall and Savanna Hall, Gainesville, Texas, Lindsay Wynn and husband Eli, of Frederick, Oklahoma, Leslie Jacobs, of the United Kingdom, Derek Jacobs and wife Paige, and Dalton Jacobs, all of Frederick, Oklahoma; three great grandchildren: Whitney and Emery Wynn and Tucker Jacobs, all of Frederick; Also his aunt, Evelyn Cheek, of Frederick.
