Dona Maggie Marshall went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 5, 2013. She passed away at Frederick, Oklahoma, at the age of 88 years, 11 months, and one day. She was born on October 4, 1924, to Glen Hudgens(Hudge) and Jessie Lois (Housley) Clayton, in Archey Valley, Arkansas. She attended all eight years of school in Archey Valley, Arkansas. She married Alvin Johnson in 1944 at Marshall, Arkansas. Due to her husband's illness they moved to Frederick to be close to family. She worked at Gene's Café and made many friends. When her husband died in 1954, she started working at Centra Leather Goods. On July 4, 1958 she married to Carl Marshall who was in the military, but was a local boy. They lived in Louisiana, North Carolina and then back to Frederick. One of Dona's greatest joys was working in the snack bar at Crescent Drug for Eddie McFall. She served and loved many business people in Frederick and school children alike. When Crescent Drug closed, she worked for McFall Drug delivering prescriptions to homebound people and rest homes in the area until her retirement. Dona's grandson and great grandchildren were the light of her life. She and Carl spent a lot of time at baseball games cheering them on. She was an active member of the Assembly of God Church, 15th and County Line Road, until her health failed her. She was preceded in death by her grandparents: John and Martha Housley and Henry and Maggie Clayton; her parents; her husband: Alvin Johnson; two brothers: William Rudolfh (Square) Clayton and John Henry Clayton; and two sisters: Willodean Kimbrell and Martha Jean Clayton.
