Jimmy L. "Red" Davis went to be with the Lord on July 16, 2013. He passed away at Oklahoma City at the age of 68 years, 4 months, and 5 days. He was born on March 11, 1945, to James M. and Ester (Norton) Davis, in Walters, Oklahoma. He graduated from Big Pasture School at Randlett. He had lived in Cotton and Tillman counties most all of his life. He worked as a truck driver. His hobbies were hunting, 4-wheeling and motorcycles. He was saved and baptized as a young person at Corum Baptist Church and later transferred his membership to Trinity Baptist Church in Frederick. He also belonged to V.F.W. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother: Kenneth Davis. He is survived by one daughter: Deborah Rodgers and husband Steve, of Logan, Ohio; three sons: Shad Davis, of Lawton, Darrel Lynn Davis, of Blanchard, and J. J. Davis, of Blanchard; two sisters: Chris Lee and husband Don, of Frederick, and Melba Seelig, of Lawton; four grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
