Arthur L Fox

Arthur Lee Fox went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 4, 2013. He passed away at Lawton, Oklahoma, at the age of 77 years, 3 months,and 29 days. He was born on March 5, 1936, to Bill and Louise (Broom) Fox, in Wynnewood, Oklahoma. They moved to Tipton when Arthur was young and he attended school in Tipton. He worked in the cotton fields and worked at a gas station. He married Shirley Kittrell on June 24, 1955, in Frederick, Oklahoma. He was a truck driver and owned his own truck. He enjoyed going to the farm and taking care of his cows and he loved to work in his garden. He was raised Pentecostal and later attended the Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, two sisters, one granddaughter, one great-granddaughter, and one son-in-law. He is survived by his wife: Shirley Fox, of the home in Tipton; two sons: Tony Fox and wife JoLynn, of Tipton, and Jerry Fox and wife Kathy, of Norman; two daughters: Sue Howard, of Tipton, and Angela Rhodes and husband Danny, of Tipton; one brother: Buddy Fox and wife Judy, of San Antonio, TX; two sisters: Joyce McNabb and husband Brent, of Hurst, TX, and Mary Ascroft and husband Eddie, of Boyd, TX; 9 grandchildren: Toni Sue and Chad McAlister, Brian and Brenda Fox, Jason and Anne Fox, Derrick and Sabrina Fox, Kelli Howard, Christopher Rhodes, Amanda Rhodes, Shea and Rod Crites, and Jay Micheal; 11 great grandchildren: Courtney Merriman, Logan Merriman, Colton Kitchens, Braxton McAlister, Katlyn Kitchens, Chase McAlister, Jackson Fox, Mason Fox, T.J. Tyler, Zachary Crites, and Owen Crites.
