Rubye Louise Jessie went to be with the Lord on June 6, 2013. She passed away at Lawton, Oklahoma, at the age of 84 years, 2 months, and 24 days. She was born March 13, 1929, to Emerson and Eve (Wilson) Parker, in Golden, Oklahoma. She attended Wheelock Academy (Girls) in southeastern Oklahoma. She graduated from Sequoyah High School in Tahlequah. She married Harry Jessie on November 17, 1950, in De Queen, Arkansas. She was employed as a seamstress by Frybrant Manufacturing, Betsy Bra, Kellwood, Centra Leather Goods and Bag Scene, all of Frederick. She was a member of the Methodist Church. She loved to read and work puzzles. She enjoyed cooking. She was a mother not only to her children, but her children's friends. She was always involved in her children and grandchildren's activities. The Booster Club awarded her a permanent seat at Bomber Bowl. Her main focus was always her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; a step-mother who raised her: Ida Thompson; two brothers: Gabe Parker and Salas Parker; and four sisters: Kathren Battiest, Caroline Johnson, Rosely Harley and Virginia Osbourne. She is survived by her husband: Harry Jessie, of the home; seven sons: Roger Jessie and wife Diane, of Waurika, Darrell Jessie, of Lawton, Mike Jessie, of Wichita Falls, TX, Harry Jessie and wife Delores, of Ardmore, Bruce Jessie and wife Patricia, of Lawton, Tracy Lynn Jessie, of Ardmore, and Jeff Jessie and wife Shelli, of Nashville, TN; one daughter: Pamela Thompson, of McKinney, TX; three sisters: Ester Gray, of Hartshorne, Oklahoma, Lenora Clark and Jackie Marris, both of southeastern Oklahoma, 14 grandchildren: April Jessie, Jason Jessie and wife Maci, Kimberly Carlton and husband Lionel, Darrell Keith Jessie II, James Tyler Miller, Amanda Jessie, Kyle Jessie, Zach Jessie and wife Sibbie, Josh Jessie, Lauren Jessie, Mitch Ellis, Mia Ellis, Stephen Thompson, and Lauren Powless, and several great grandchildren.
