Evelyn Janel McPhail

Evelyn Janel McPhail went to be with her Lord on January 7, 2013. She passed away in Lubbock, Texas, at the age of 77 years and 10 months. She was born on March 7, 1935, to Victor Hugo and Syble Adaline Nickels Culvahouse, in Kiowa County, Oklahoma. She attended school at Con-8 in Kiowa County. She married James Paul McPhail on October 6, 1953, in Lawton, Oklahoma. They lived and raised their family in the Roosevelt area and then had made their home in Lubbock, Texas for the last forty years. She worked for a temp service as a bookkeeper for many businesses. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Mt. Park, Oklahoma. She was an avid golfer and was dedicated to her family. She was preceded in death by her parents: Victor and Syble Culvahouse; one brother: Jackie Wayn Culvahouse; and one son: James Brent McPhail. She is survived by her husband: James Paul McPhail, of Lubbock, Texas; one son: Kent McPhail and wife Sandy; one daughter-in-law: Debbie McPhail; five grandchildren: Weston McPhail, Chelsea McPhail, Joshua McPhail, Lacey McPhail Bain, and Timmothy McPhail; four great grandchildren: Kaylee, Ace, Brenton and Marianne.
