Emil Lawrence "E. L." Schrick went to be with the Lord on October 12, 2012. He passed away in Edmond, Oklahoma, at the age of 96 years, 10 months, and 29 days. He was born on November 13, 1915, to August G. and Marie A. (Bichel) Schrick, in Enid, Oklahoma. He attended schools in Frederick and Pleasant Ridge. He lived in Frederick and Manitou. He married Dorothy Naomi Norrell on June 28, 1939 and he resided in Grandfield, Walters, Frederick, Lawton and Edmond. He was self-employed as a farmer and a carpenter. He was a member of St. Helen's Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife: Dorothy on August 13, 2004; eight brothers: Fred, John, August, Bernard, Joe, Albert, Louie, and Ed; two sisters: Lucy Delk and Sister Theresita Schrick; two grandchildren: James and Billy. He is survived by one son: Larry Gene Schrick and wife Mary, of Edmond; two daughters: Barbara Gayle Couch and husband Tim, of Seal Rock, Oregon, and Sandra Kay "Sandy" Ching and husband Jimmy, of Lawton, Oklahoma; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.
