Chylene Leckie

Chylene Maxine Leckie went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 21, 2012. She passed away at Oklahoma City at the age of 60 years, five months, and five days. Chylene was born on January 16, 1952, to Max and Gwendolyn Aletta (Head) Killian, in Snyder, Oklahoma. She graduated from Snyder High School in 1969. She married Preston Leckie in February 1971 in Vernon, Texas. They moved to Richmond, Virginia and she received an Associate degree from John Tyler Community College. They returned to Snyder in 1985. She served her apprenticeship at Lowell Tims Funeral Home in Altus. She also assisted in the operation of Preston Leckie Funeral Home in Snyder. She worked for the City of Snyder and was the sexton at Fairlawn Cemetery. She also worked for KEYB radio in Altus. She was a Baptist. She was preceded in death by her father: Max Killian. She is survived by her mother: Gwen Killian, of Snyder, OK; two sons: Shawn Leckie and wife Jonnie, of Oklahoma City, and Richie Leckie and wife Jennifer, of Moore; one brother: Chipper Killian and wife Gwen, of Snyder; one nephew: Paul Killian, of Duncan; one niece: Jamie Nevarez and husband David, of Edmond; and eight grandchildren: Jacob, Seth, Savanna, Buddy, Jessie, Danika, Stephen and Isabella.
