Nina Wilkerson

Nina DeLynn Wilkerson went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 24, 2012. She died in Lawton, Oklahoma, at the age of 68 years, 6 months, and 15 days. She was born November 9, 1943, in San Jose, California, to Elton T. and JoAnna (Wood) Avery. She attended Frederick schools and graduated with the class of 1961. Nina worked at nursing care centers and also served as the manager of the Frederick Chamber of Commerce from 1979-1981. Most recently, after returning to Frederick from Snyder, she served the last two years as the food service director for the Delta Nutrition Center in the Blue Room of the Grand Hotel Frederick. She was a member of the Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her father: Elton T. Avery, on May 28, 2009. She is survived by her mother: JoAnna Avery, of the home in Frederick; three sons: Michael Trusty, Hydro, Oklahoma, Marc Trusty, Frederick, Oklahoma, and Randy Trusty, of Denton, Texas; a grandson whom she raised as a son: Blake Trusty, of Frederick, Oklahoma; a brother Terry Avery, Cleburne, Texas; 11 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
