Jean Perry

Jean Perry went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 29, 2012. He died at his home in Frederick, Oklahoma, at the age of 84 years, 3 months, and 10 days. He was born on October 19, 1927, to Archie Blunt and Jewel Maxine (McIntyre) Perry, in South Deep Red Community. He attended school at a one room school in South Deep Red. He attended high school in Hollister and graduated in 1947. He married Oleta Estelle "Toby" Hicks on December 18, 1948, in Vernon, Texas. He was a farmer and rancher. He learned blacksmithing from his uncle, Bill Perry. He spent countless hours with his close friend and confidant, Bro. John D. Alexander. He was a member of the Tipton and Frederick Roping Clubs. He enjoyed OU football. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother: Max Perry; and one uncle: Bill Perry. He is survived by his wife: Oleta "Toby" Perry, of the home; two sons: Mark Perry and Suzanne, of Stillwater, OK, and Jeff Perry and Pam Powell, of Guymon, OK; one sister: Norma Lee Perry, of Frederick, OK; and two grandchildren: Jennifer and Sarah.
