Jimmy Carl "Jim" Jones went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 18, 2012, at the age of 75 years, 5 months, and 18 days. He was born July 31, 1936, to George Calvin and Almeta Pauline (Logan) Jones, in Lawton, Oklahoma. He attended school in Frederick and graduated from Frederick High School in 1954. He attended Southeastern Oklahoma State University in Durant, Oklahoma. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and served honorably until his discharge on October 6, 1957. He married Judith Ann Fraley on January 21, 1957, in Frederick, Oklahoma. He attended Sunset School of Preaching in Lubbock, Texas. He preached in the countryside towns of Lubbock while he attended school. He also did missionary work in Portugal. He then moved to Abilene, Texas. He worked with his Dad and brothers doing dirt work and construction. He was a food salesman to schools and restaurants. He was a member of the Hillcrest Church of Christ. He loved to play pool, play the guitar, and play golf. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife: Judy of the home in Abilene; three sons: Richard Carl Jones and wife Susan, of San Angelo, TX, Kelly Karl Jones and wife Kelly, of Oklahoma City, OK, and Stormie Len Jones and wife Jessie, of Abilene, TX; two brothers: Darwin Ray "Doc" Jones and wife Dora, of Frederick, and Gregory Calvin "Greg" Jones, of Frederick; 17 grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
