Eloise Nicks

Eloise Nicks went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 4, 2011. She died in Henrietta, Texas, at the age of 79 years, 10 months, and 12 days. She was born on November 22, 1931, to Orville Ross and Gladys Mae (Westerman) Landrum, in Frederick, Oklahoma. She moved to Denver, Colorado and then Arlington, Texas before returning to Frederick in 1999. She was a chef most of her life including being the head chef at Hilton Hotel, in Grapevine, Texas. She moved to Henrietta, Texas in 2007, to be near her family. She was a volunteer at the hospital, a volunteer in 4-H, a seamstress, and was the activities director for the Senior Citizens. She loved to garden and make crafts. She also enjoyed teaching her grandchildren how to play checkers. She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers: Lee, Roy J., Monty, Jerry Don, and Lloyd; one sister: Bobbie Nell Jones; and her daughter: Terri Gibbs. She is survived by one son: Mark Nicks, of Henrietta, TX; one daughter: Deana Wofford, of Henrietta, TX; four sisters: Linda Copeland, of Arkansas, Gwenna Prescott, of Frederick, OK, Frieda Jones, of Wichita Falls, TX, and Karen Fliss, of Wichita Falls, TX; five grandchildren: Kenneth Agnew, Michelle Wofford, JoAnna Wofford, Jonathan Gibbs, and Allison Gibbs; and five great grandchildren: Brandon Coleman, Jacobi Reynolds, Jaden Kane, Damien Kane, and Gavin Kane.
