Clara Harrison went to be with the Lord on Friday evening, February 25, 2011. She died in Altus, Oklahoma, at the age of 92 years, eight months and one day. She was born June 24, 1918, in Lubbock, Texas to Jesse J. and Vera M. (Norred) Greenhaw. She attended and graduated from Deep Red School, in rural Tillman County. She married Isaac Harrison on July 10, 1937, in Lawton, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death in August of 1947. Mrs. Harrison worked as a sales clerk at the Five and Dime store in Tipton, as well as working for Elton Van Scoder in his hardware and plumbing business in Tipton. Later, after completing nursing training, she worked for a brief time in that field. Mrs. Harrison was a homemaker and a fabulous cook, known for her German chocolate cake. Mrs. Harrison was a member of the Tipton Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son: Tommy Harrison. Survivors include her two sons: Bill Harrison and wife, Doris, of Altus, Oklahoma; Lloyd Harrison of Tahlequah, Oklahoma; daughter-in-law: Phyllis Harrison of Irving, Texas; three grandsons: David and Charles Harrison of Irving, Texas; Richard Harrison of Vernon, Texas.
