He was born on March 24, 1958, to Galen Gaskill and Pauline Sims, in Florissant, Missouri. He moved to Arkansas at an early age and grew up in Paragould, Arkansas and Hot Springs, Arkansas. He met his future wife at the age of 11, while at Willow Beach Resort on Lake Hamilton. She was babysitting at the resort and he worked on lawn maintenance. They would meet each other from time to time and they were united in marriage on March 27, 1976, at Hot Springs, Arkansas, three days after his 18th birthday. This March would mark their 35th wedding anniversary. Bennie worked in construction all his working life. As a young man, he worked as a bricklayer, then became a carpenter, then a foreman and then a construction superintendent. He began working for Comanche Nation Construction, LLC, in August of 2008. The family of Bennie Gaskill wishes to thank Comanche Nation Construction and all those that worked with Bennie for their kindness and extending so many wonderful courtesies to him and to the family during his illness. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and even guided hunting trips for Perry Horton at Triple H as well as Edgar Hamm at Hamm's Sportsman Oasis. He is survived by his wife: Debbie, of the home in Manitou, Oklahoma; a son: Benjamin Gaskill, of Lawton, Oklahoma; a brother: Scott Gaskill and wife Diane, of Texas, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; and more friends than one could ever imagine.
