Henry Halton Herman Jeffcoat went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 16, 2010, at the age of 91 years, 6 months, and 16 days. He was born on May 31, 1919, to Henry and Julie (Thompson) Jeffcoat, in Blueridge, Texas. He grew up in and around Frederick and Grandfield, Oklahoma. He married Winona Nichols Jeffcoat on June 5, 1927. To this union were born three sons and one daughter. He was a well known baker in Frederick for over 40 years. Everyone for miles around, knew about his beautifully decorated cakes and delicious baked goods. Winona passed away November 14, 1970. He was then joined in marriage to Wilma Pauline Gibbs on September 15, 1973. Halton served the First Assembly of God Church of Frederick as a deacon and adult Sunday School teacher for about 40 years. After many years of living in Frederick, he and his wife moved in with their son in Moore, Oklahoma in 2007. The last three years he has been a faithful attendee at the Bethesda Assembly of God in Oklahoma City. He was an avid fisherman. He was preceded in death by his parents: Henry and Julie Jeffcoat; his wife: Winona Jeffcoat; one daughter: Delynda Jeffcoat Walter; one son: Travis Jeffcoat; two sisters: Essie Pryor, and Nancy Jeffcoat; and two brothers: Weldon and Wesley Jeffcoat. He is survived by his wife: Wilma Pauline Jeffcoat, of Oklahoma City; two sons: James Jeffcoat, of Richland Hills, Texas, and Jerry Jeffcoat, of Bella Vista, Arkansas; one daughter-in-law: Patricia Jeffcoat; one son-in-law: James Walter and his wife Delores; three brothers: Clarence, Clayburn, and Joseph Jeffcoat; one sister: Tempie Smith; 10 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren, and another one on the way. Halton was a kind and gentle man that loved his God and his family. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.
