August Paul Schrick was born on February 5, 1926 to August Henry and Rena (Lynch) Schrick in Frederick, Oklahoma. Paul grew up in Frederick and graduated from Frederick High School in 1943. He joined the army in July 1945 serving in Germany and was honorably discharged in January 1947. He married Imogene Wilbanks on February 5, 1947 in Frederick, Oklahoma. He was a farmer and rancher all of his life. He served on the Frederick Police Department in the 1960's and 1970's until his retirement from the department in 1974. He and his family then moved to Weatherford, Texas in 1976 where he resided until his death. While in Weatherford he continued to engage in farming and ranching. After retirement from farming and ranching in the 1980's, he enjoyed hunting and fishing with his grandson, Josh. He is survived by his wife of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law: Keith and Dana Schrick, of Millsap, Texas; and Gary and Rhonda Schrick, of Cool, Texas; one daughter: Paula Doze, of Frederick, Oklahoma; five grandchildren and their spouses: Jason and Andrea Schrick; Josh and Erica Schrick, all of Millsap, Texas; Carmen and Steven Barrington, of Fort Worth, Texas; Crystal and Lance Whitson, of Frederick, Oklahoma; and Chance and Kristen Doze, of Lawton, Oklahoma; eight great grandchildren: Jaden Schrick; Kagen and Kooper Schrick; Bailey, Brody, and Brenna Barrington; and Landon and Layton Whitson. He is also survived by seven siblings and their spouses: Anna Mae Caron; Patricia and Tommy Edwards, of Fort Worth, Texas; Kenneth and Wiletta Schrick; Frank and Irma Schrick; and Edward and Marilyn Schrick, all of Frederick, Oklahoma; Terry and Mary Schrick, of Waco, Nebraska; Mike and Pat Schrick, of Oilton, Oklahoma; three sisters-in-law and their spouses: Earnestine Little, of Houston, Texas; Betty and Theo Kiker, of Hereford, Texas; and Joann and Gary Woods, of Frederick, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers-in-law: Henry Caron; Bernie Pinksa; Raymond Boy; Fred Wilbanks; and Weldon Wilbanks; one niece: Teresa "Terri" Pinksa; and three nephews: Gus Schrick; Bruce Little; and Walter Little.
