Mary Chesser Funeral service for Mary Lou Chesser, age 77, of Frederick, Oklahoma, was held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 14, 2008, at the Gray Gish Funeral Home Chapel with Mark Stevens, nephew, officiating. Burial was in the Frederick Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Gray Gish Funeral Home, in Frederick, Oklahoma Mrs. Chesser passed away Wednesday, June 11, 2008, in Lawton, Oklahoma. She was born May 26, 1931, in rural Frederick, Oklahoma, to Fred and Bertie Bee (Crowley) Stevens. She attended Weaver Schools and graduated in 1949. She was a life long resident of Tillman County. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers: Tex Stevens and Johnny Bert Stevens. Survivors include her daughter: Rebecca Reffner, of Arlington, Texas; a brother: Fred Stevens, Jr., of Frederick; two grandchildren: Jeff Bowling, of Wichita Falls, Texas, and Carla Ricca, of Redding, California; four great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
