Irmgard Thompson Memorial service for Irmgard Thompson, age 79, of Altamonte Springs, Florida, formerly of Frederick, Oklahoma, was held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 3, 2008, at the Burkhardt Chapel in the Frederick Memorial Cemetery with Mike Suiter, officiating. Mrs. Thompson passed away on April 7, 2008. Burial was under the direction of Gray Gish Funeral Home in Frederick, Oklahoma. Irmgard was born on September 17, 1928 in Nausis, Germany. She moved to the United States in 1948, after marrying John L Thompson. She and John were the former owners of the Surplus City store in Frederick, Oklahoma. In 2001, she moved to Florida to be near family. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband John, of 46 years, in 1994. She is survived by her children, Robert Thompson and wife Adeleous, of Altamonte Springs, Florida; and John Thompson and wife Lou, of Ft. Worth, TX; three granddaughters: Dawn Martin and husband Curtis; Alisha Fuller and husband Rob and Brande Timmons and husband Allen; three great grandchildren: Taylor Martin, Alexa & Hayley Timmons; a brother Gerhart Appel and his wife Margarete; two sisters: Dora Ingrid Stange and Christa Eberhardt and husband Heinrich, siblings all of Kassel, Germany area; and several nieces and nephews.
