Ann (Whitaker) Noland Butcher, age 86, of Frederick, Oklahoma, passed away on Sunday, February 28, 2021, at the Memorial Nursing Center in Frederick.
There will be no formal services at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of Orr Gray Gish Funeral Home.
She was born October 12, 1934, in Blackheath, England, the daughter of Ernest Gillette and Cissie Whitaker. Ann attended Eothan Boarding School in England and she attended Horticultural College in England. She married an American G.I. and moved to the United States, where she proudly became a United States Citizen. Over the years, she has made comforting homes in Amarillo, Texas, Altus, Oklahoma, Blair, Oklahoma, Wynnewood, Oklahoma and Frederick, Oklahoma.
Ann raised Arabian horses. She had a love of animals from childhood. She used her knowledge with horses to work with special needs children on and off the horses. She taught Equestrian Riding. She was a pianist, bowler, and incredible cook. She was a member of the Amarillo British Wives Club, President and member of the Amarillo Jayceettes. She worked with adult literacy programs. She was an avid crafter working with seed beading, knitting, crocheting, oil painting, sewing and so much more. She was so giving and loving. Her family and friends were the world to her. She is already missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband: Wayne Guy Butcher.
Survivors include two daughters: Barbara Collins and husband Terry, of Frederick, and Lisa Volz, of Edmond; a brother: John Whitaker and wife Daphne; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
