Cody James Chapa was born to Agopito Chapa Jr. and Kathy (Rothell) Chapa on May 24, 1993
in Lawton, Oklahoma. He passed away in his home on October 19, 2021. Cody attended
Frederick schools his whole life and graduated in 2012. He was an active member in the FFA
and helped maintain the school grounds. His occupation was helping those in need. He loved
riding his lawn mower around the city of Frederick, cutting grass, stopping to help someone, or
just to say hi. He knew no stranger. Cody also had a love for mechanics and would tear down
anything that was broken and rebuild it, especially if it was off of a lawn mower, go kart, or car.
He also enjoyed riding along with the sheriff department and always had his scanner handy. He
was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his father Agopito Chapa Jr, mother Kathy Chapa, Brothers Nathiel Hanes,
Charles Chapa, and A.J. Chapa of Phoenix Arizona, paternal grandparents Juan and Anita
Rocha, Paternal Aunt and Uncles, Manuel Chapa and wife Shannon of Frederick, Oklahoma,
Linda Riojas and Tracy Blas of Fort Worth, Texas, Cassie Jo Chapa of Texas.
Maternal Aunt and Uncles, Stacy Marquez and husband Kennedy of Vaugh, New Mexico, Laurie
Roden and husband John Paul of Frederick, Oklahoma, Todd Price and spouse Steven of
Jacksonville, Florida and many cousins.
