Memorial service for Dennis M. Freeland, age 70, of Frederick, Oklahoma, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, September 9, 2024, at the Orr Gray Gish Chapel with Rev. Les Banks officiating.

 Mr. Freeland passed away Wednesday, September 4, 2024, in Mangum, Oklahoma.

 He was born March 29, 1954, in Frederick, Oklahoma, to V. L. “ Stub” and Marjorie (Morris) Freeland. He grew up in Frederick and attended Frederick schools and graduated from Frederick High School. He was united in marriage to Carolyn Hankins on May 3, 1974, in Vernon, Texas. Dennis took many courses by computer through vocational schools. He was a machine repairman for Xerox. Dennis worked as the maintenance supervisor at Centra Leather Goods. He worked for Tractor Supply (John Deere). He also operated his own small engine repair business. Dennis was a member of the Frederick Masonic Lodge #249.

 In addition to his parents and wife Carolyn, he was preceded in death by two sisters: Louetta Holcomb and Lorraine Freeland; and a brother: Jarvin Freeland.

 Survivors include a daughter: Cher Jones and husband Jeff, of Frederick; a son: Blake Freeland and wife Kim, of Holcomb, Kansas; and five grandchildren: Autumn Jones, of Frederick, Gage Jones, (U.S. Air Force- Okinawa, Japan), Aden Freeland, of Goodland, Kansas, Kierian Freeland, and Grady Freeland, both of Holcomb, Kansas; a brother-in-law: Bill Hankins and wife Leslie Anderson, of Elizabeth, Colorado.
