Irma Duarte

            Funeral for Irma Duarte, age 61, of Manitou and Frederick, Oklahoma, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 5, 2021, at the Restoration Church (1920 N. 15^th Street) with Rev. James Johnson, pastor, officiating.

            Mrs. Duarte passed away Tuesday, June 01, 2021, at Integris Baptist Medical Center, in Oklahoma City.

            Burial will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery in Snyder, Oklahoma, under the direction of Orr Gray Gish Funeral Home. A visitation and reception will be held Friday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

            She was born May 29, 1960, in Mission, Texas, to Reyes and Ascension (Gonzalez) Cardona. She was united in marriage to Alfredo “Freddie” Duarte on April 18, 1975, in Snyder, Oklahoma. She was a homemaker and she loved to play Bingo. She enjoyed watching Little House on the Prairie and The Walton’s on television. She was especially fond of her grandkids and loved to spend time with her family. She attended Restoration Church.

            She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Freddie on February 28, 2017; three sons:  Freddie Jr., Richard and Phillip; a daughter: Misty; two brothers: Macario and Celso Cardona; and two sisters: Tina Avila and Irma Cardona.

            Survivors include her daughter: Gracie Janz and husband Chris, of Frederick; four brothers: Johnny Cardona, Altus, Joe Cardona and wife Angie, Muskogee, Manuel Cardona and wife Tonya, of Altus, and Thomas Cardona and wife Susie, of Tishomingo; three sisters: Lorenza Thompson, Lawton, Dominga Auirri, of Snyder, and Paula Herfel and husband Loren, of Chickasha; two grandchildren: Jonathan and Te’a Janz and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
