Jeffrey D. Ufer

            Funeral service for Jeffrey D. Ufer, age 60, of Frederick, will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 13, 2019, at the Orr Gray Gish Chapel with Rev. James Johnson, pastor of Lighthouse Assembly of God, officiating.

            Mr.  Ufer passed away Monday, January 07, 2019, at his home in Frederick. Burial will be in the Frederick Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Orr Gray Gish Funeral Home.

            He was born November 2, 1958, in Jerseyville, Illinois, to Glendon Earl Ufer, Sr. and Helen “Joyce” (Kroeschel) Ufer. He attended Carrollton, Illinois, school district. He moved to Oklahoma in the mid 1980s to be near family. He worked as a farmhand in the Frederick area, until his health began to decline. He enjoyed working and farming was his passion. He was a simple man who would help anyone in need. He would talk to anyone and loved to tell stories, mostly related to farming.

            He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother: Douglas W. Ufer.

            Survivors include a daughter: Jaime Bogart, Jerseyville, Illinois; four brothers: Jerry Ufer, Hambury, Illinois, Steven Ufer, Frederick, Oklahoma, Glen Ufer, Wyoming, Michigan, and Charles L. Ufer, of Frederick; a sister: Susan Phillips, of Elk City, Oklahoma, and two grandchildren: Sierra Murray and Michael Bogart.
