Joseph Frausto Rodriguez

            Memorial service for Joseph Frausto Rodriguez, age 77, of Davidson, Oklahoma, will be held at 6:00 p.m. Thursday evening, May 24, 2019, at the Orr Gray Gish Chapel.

            Mr. Rodriguez passed away Saturday, May 18, 2019, at Ayers Nursing Home, in Snyder.

            Arrangements are under the direction of Orr Gray Gish Funeral Home of Frederick.

            He was born March 28, 1942, in Pecos, Texas, to Silbestre and Natividad (Frausto) Rodriguez. He grew up in California, attended school there and obtained a college degree. In 1996, he moved to Texas, where he was united in marriage to Maria D. Vielma. They moved to southwest Oklahoma in 2000. He resided in Frederick until 2010, when he moved to Davidson. He worked as a farmhand as well as in construction. He loved fishing and also enjoyed hunting and “antique-ing”.

            He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Raymond, Peter, Robert, and Frank; sisters: Bertie and Socorro; and an infant grandson: Joseph Hampton.

            Survivors include his wife: Maria D. Vielma, of Frederick; a daughter: Jasmin Hampton and husband Dustin, of Leesville, Louisiana; a brother: Alberto Rodriguez, of California; four sisters: Lupe, Irma, Pauline and Stella, all of California; and a granddaughter: Yuriko Daliah Hampton; numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
