Funeral service for Roger Keith Preuninger, age 65, of Frederick will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 30, 2020, at the First Baptist Church of Frederick with Dr. Shane Kendrix, pastor, officiating.
On November 2nd he started running a fever and tested positive for COVID-19. He was admitted to the hospital on Sunday, November 8th, and went to be with the Lord on Friday, November 27th, 2020 after a strong fight with the virus.
Burial will be in the Memory Lane Cemetery in Harrah, Oklahoma, under the direction of Orr Gray Gish Funeral Home, Frederick.
He was born September 16th, 1955, Montague County in the town of Bowie, Texas, to Roger and Christine (Partridge) Preuninger. He loved the Lord and served faithfully on the praise team at Frederick First Baptist Church where he was also a Deacon, Sunday School teacher, and sang specials. He enjoyed his quiet time with the Lord each morning followed by a prayer time with Jesus. He loved the great outdoors, working on old tractors, fishing, hunting, and helping his two sons with various projects. He also enjoyed visiting Colorado with family and exploring off road trails all while spoiling his eight grandkids. He is preceded in death by his dad, Roger Preuninger. He was a faithful loving husband to his wife, Mary, and his three children and their spouses (all surviving) Kevin and Dezaray Preuninger of McLoud, OK, Dr. Darren and Whitney Preunigner of Richmond Hill, GA, and Janice and Jason Weigand of War Acres, OK. He is also survived by his 8 grandchildren: Audrey and Cameron Osborn, Kaleb, Gavin, Jaxon, Samuel, Andrea, Grant, and Ava. He is also survived by his mother, Christine, of Denton, TX; and his sister: Diana Schmittou and husband Mitch, of Aubrey and their children: Crystal and husband Andy, Catrina and husband Dustin, Clay and wife Laura and Chad.
