Leonard Britton Johnson

            Leonard Britton “Sonny” Johnson, age 68, of Frederick, Oklahoma, passed away Thursday, May 4, 2023, at his home.

            Arrangements are under the direction of Orr Gray Gish Funeral Home.

            He was born February 5, 1955, at Clinton, Oklahoma, to Leonard and Johnnie Edna (Airington) Johnson. His dad was in the military and the family moved around several places before settling in California. Sonny attended school in Chino, California. He was united in marriage to Mary Lou Cyr in 1972, at California. He worked for the Brockway Bottle Manufacturing. In 1978, he moved to Manitou and later Frederick. Sonny did all sorts of odd jobs and various types of work. He enjoyed fishing.

            In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters: Sharon and Connie.

            Survivors include a son: Pete Johnson, Perris, California; a daughter: Tracy Beckham, of Parker, Arizona; a brother: Charles Johnson, Puerto Rico; two sisters: Nora Lee, of California, and Rita Watton, of Kansas.
