Mary Jane Chapa

            Mary Jane (Walker) "M. J." Chapa passed away on Sunday, December 27, 2020. She died near Frederick, Oklahoma, at the age of 51 years, one month and 26 days.

            Arrangements are under the direction of Orr Gray Gish Funeral Home of Frederick.

            She was born November 1, 1969, in Biloxi, Mississippi, to Jimmy Walker and Lois Marilyn Brandt. She moved to Oklahoma with her family and attended Moore schools. She graduated from Moore High School with the Class of 1986. She attended Oklahoma State University in Stillwater and obtained her bachelor’s degree and then a master’s degree. She later taught Economics and Marketing as a college professor at Oklahoma State University, University of Oklahoma and Oklahoma City Community College. She was united in marriage to Agopito Chapa in 2015.

            She is survived by her husband: Agopito, of the home in Frederick; three sons: Benjamin Thomas Christian, William Charles Christian and Walker Jack Fools, all of Moore, Oklahoma; three step-sons: Cody James Chapa, Charles Joseph Chapa and Agopito Joe “A. J.” Chapa; and her mother: Lois Brandt, of Moore, Oklahoma.
