Mercy Flores

            Funeral service for Mercy Martinez Flores, age 65, of Frederick, Oklahoma, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 16, 2022, at the Orr Gray Gish Chapel with Rev. Simon Flores officiating.

            Mr. Flores passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2022, at a Lawton hospital.

            Visitation will be held Friday evening from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

            Burial will be in the Frederick Memorial Cemetery.

            He was born April 29, 1957, in Frederick, Oklahoma, to Jessie Velis Flores and Mercedes (Martinez) Flores. He attended Frederick schools. He married Virginia Southerland. He was later united in marriage to Crystal Bristol. Mercy spent most of his working life in agriculture as a farm laborer. He loved to hunt and fish and worked as a guide at Hamm’s Sportsmen Oasis. He enjoyed singing, dancing, and playing the accordion. He also was fond of telling jokes and he loved to laugh.

            He was preceded in death by his parents, spouses, brother: Joe Flores; sister: Lois Coronado; and stepson: Kenny Wolfe.

            Survivors include two daughters: Sheree (Flores) Boling and husband Gary, of Tipton, and Nicole Bristol-Kriss, Frederick; a stepson: Keith Wolfe, Tipton; a brother: Johnny Flores and wife Wallie, of Frederick; two sisters: Mary Gonzalez and husband Ray, of Wichita Falls, Texas, and Terresa Perez and husband Santos, of Ardmore; three grandchildren: Kobe Gipson, Kade Flores, and Emeri Bristol; an aunt: Nellie Gonzalez, of Lawton; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
