“THE MAN I CANNOT SEE”
I HAVE NOT SEEN THE MAN WHO WALKS ON WATER, WHOSE HAND CAN CALM THE SEA
BUT ONE THING I DO KNOW, THAT DEEP IN MY HEART
IN THAT MAN, I DO BELIEVE.
I HAVE WISHED FOR SO MANY THINGS,
WHAT IF THEY HAD ALL COME TRUE?
I SHOULD JUST BE GRATEFUL THAT I HAVE LIVED IN THIS WORLD LONG ENOUGH TO KNOW THE MAN I CANNOT SEE.

Child of God, Son, Brother, Cousin, Friend, Uncle, Father, Dad & Popo
Pete Garza Jr., 74, resident of Tipton, OK, went with the Angels on January 18, 2021.
Pete Jr. was born on September 3, 1946 in Tipton, OK. to Rev. Pedro & Josephina Garza. Pete Jr. was raised with siblings Guadelupe ‘Lupe’, Linda, Andrew ‘Red’, Estella ‘Stella’, Braulio ‘Bob’ and Josefine ‘Josie’. Pete loves his parents, sisters, and brothers very much. His thoughts were always of them and held at high regards.
*Awaiting in Heaven are his Loving Wife Angelita (Momo), His Mom, Dad, and Baby Sister Josie*
Growing up, Pete Jr. always worked hard and would come to wear many hats throughout his life. Whether Pete Jr. was working in the fields, managing Garza Custom Hay Hauling, doing any concrete, carpentry or building work, physical labor never bothered him. He also worked at the Tipton Cotton Gin, Bar-S in Altus, Manitou Juvenile Detention Officer and even Santa Claus with his helper elf BreeAhnna. It was a part of Pete Jr. to always be busy and checking on things. There was not much our dad/Popo could not do. He has always been a humble man, self-employed most of his life but Never just looked out for himself. Jr. was always working and with plenty of hands-on experience over the years, he would come up with the most brilliant ingenuity to bring alive his thoughts and resolutions. Pete was always moving around doing something for he could NOT sit still. A 5- minute cat nap is all he needed he’d say and literally five minutes was all it’d be, more like a power nap we’d say.
Pete Jr. met the love of his life, Angelita Olga, as they were teenagers. They
fell in love and became Husband & Wife on Valentine’s Day 1964.
Jr., as Momo would say, y Heló, as Popo would say, would often reminisce on the days of their dating and going to dances. Jr. would always have fast cars & loud pick-ups. Jr. would drive Heló anytime day or night to visit her family in Corpus Christi whenever she was missing them. Those trips are great family memories.
Jr’s siblings would also fall in love and come to marry and begin their families as well. Lupe with husband Max, Linda with husband Frank, Red with wife Maria, Stella with husband Rev. Juan, Bob with wife Dora and Josie with husband Michael.
*Cousins, Nieces, Nephews Great & Grand indeed, handfuls of friends who will miss O'Pete, But Cry for him not, is what he would say, but to Love and Live, Each Moment, Each Day*
Aside from Pete Jr. working every day of his life, there were many things he favored and simply enjoyed the most. He adored his & Momo’s pets ‘Choco’ & ‘Shadow’ and ‘Baby’. Our Popo loved writing, art, poetry, music, singing and good old western cowboy movies. Popo liked a good casino visit and playing at the Bingo Hall, those were always fun for him. Popo’s a great pool player, poker player and cook. Man is everyone going to miss his chile’, the more pica the better! And nothing like a cold can Dr. Pepper and panasitos to finish it off or for starters.
From teaching how to change a tire, organize the vehicles for packing (like for the Rattle Snake Derby trips), remodel and how to drive, no one was a better teacher than Popo.
*We More than Love You Popo and Thank You So Much for All That You Were To Us. You are Everything*
Our Popo was born with a natural helping hand, he would always be the one who stops to help the person on the side of the road most just pass by. He was always prepared and ready to help. Our Popo enjoyed the country sights, always taking in the nature around him and we loved the stories he would share. Whether it be a good ole pick-up, hay truck, semi or Templo Las Olivas church bus, Pete has seen many cities and states. When nearby, he would always make time to stop & say Hello to nearby relatives and friends.
He is great to conversate with and the one you could always trust. He could listen just as good as help you and the connection would last forever. His wisdom and storytelling were unlike any other. He was a leader, so knowledgeable, quite funny, dependable, respected and never met a stranger. Pete looked out for everyone and meant well every day of his life. He would make you smile and probably even make you mad, and if you know Pete Jr., then you know our dad and Popo was just as stubborn as he was strong!
Popo liked to jump in the car and “Just Go” and he would only ask one time, “You Wanna Go?”, with No other words or explanation and please do not ask, “ Go Where?” Or “Where We Going?” because his reply would always be, "I didn't say where we were going, I asked Do you wanna go?"
But with us it never failed we would jump up without hesitation and go for the ride. Popo loved driving up to the city, same trips he had made previous with our sweet Momo for many years visiting children and grandchildren. He would visit the same stops, making the same rounds to the same shops, same gas station and panaderia. It was different those trips he would make again & again but always with Momo an Angel at his side. And Popo came to us just the same because he loves us , his family very very much.
*But just as Momo and Popo would always say
" This Isn’t Good-Bye, it's, I’ll See You Later”*
You are Always with Us, We know You are Together, We Love You & We Will Miss you Both Very Much.

“Miss Me/But Let Me Go”
When I come to the end of the road.
And the sun has set for me,
I want no rites in a gloom filled room
Why cry for a soul set free.
Miss me a little, but not to long and not with your head lowered low.
Remember the love that we once shared
Miss me/but let me go . . . .
When you are lonely and sick at heart, Go to the friends we know. and bury your sorrow’s in doing good deed.
Miss me/but let me go . . . . . . .
