            Funeral service for Raynelda Aguilar Castaneda, age 62, of Frederick, Oklahoma, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 9, 2019, at Orr Gray Gish Chapel with Dr. Shane Kendrix, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating.

            Mrs. Castaneda passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2019, at a Mangum nursing care center. Burial will be in the Frederick Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Orr Gray Gish Funeral Home.

            Family and friends will gather on Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

            She was born November 24, 1956, in Austin, Texas, to Demetrio and Reyes (Pena) Aguilar. She moved with her family from Austin to Fargo, Texas. She also lived in Vernon and then Frederick. She was united in marriage to Javier Castaneda in 1976, at Vernon, Texas. As a young girl, she worked on the farm milking cows and chopping cotton. She also worked at Schlegel/BTR, Centra Leather Goods for many years, Kellwood, Metzeler/Henniges Automotive, Bar-S, and Wright’s in Vernon, until 2003 when she retired due to her health. She was a Pentecostal.

            She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters: Mary Aguilar and Rachel Aguilar (infant); and two brothers: Demetrio Aguilar, Jr. and Ray Aguilar.

            Survivors include her husband: Javier Castaneda, of the home in Frederick; three sons: Jimmy Villa (Mary), Manuel Leyja (Vanessa), and Javier Castaneda (Nancy), all of Frederick; two daughters: Victoria Longoria and Delores Castaneda, both of Frederick; two brothers: Lorenzo Aguilar (Hope) and Adam Aguilar; four sisters: Corine Cerda (Eliso), Pauline Garcia, Anita Barrett, and Eva Espinosa (Willie); 16 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
