Rose Diaz

            Funeral service for Rose Diaz, age 86, of Frederick, Oklahoma, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 10^th, 2024, at the Orr Gray Gish Chapel with Bro. John Cope officiating.

            Mrs. Diaz passed away at her home Thursday, June 6^th 2024.

            Visitation will be held Sunday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Frederick Memorial Cemetery.

            She was born April 25^th, 1938, at Walters, Oklahoma, to Antonio “Tony” and Bernarda “Nina” (Cabos) Gonzales. She attended Frederick public schools. She was united in marriage to Adelfino “Dale” Diaz on January 13^th, 1961. She worked at Schlegel, and later retired from BTR as a supervisor on April 28^th, 2000. One of her favorite things to do was traveling. One of her favorite places was Vegas. She was also fond of visiting casinos regularly. She was an avid OU football fan. She loved her family. She always enjoyed family gatherings, spending times with loved ones, and making memories. She enjoyed cooking for her family and making tamales for Christmas, which was a favorite family tradition. She was the best mom, grandma, and great grandma. She always supported her children in each chapter of life and was truly the matriarch of the family. She was a devout Christian and was devoted to her church family at Primera Iglesia Bautista, Hispana Baptist Church.

            She was preceded in death by her parents: Tony and Nina Gonzales; two brothers: Cecil and Louis Gonzales; six sisters: Margaret Gaitan, Flora Rocha, Josephine Flores, Louise Garza, Mary Barbee, and Janie Delgado; and a great granddaughter: Jordan Keil.

            She was survived by her husband: Aldefino “Dale” Diaz, Frederick; a son: Adam Diaz and wife Rebecca, of Frederick; two grandchildren: Amanda Robinson and husband Russ, and Brittany Olsen and husband J.J.; and three great grandchildren: Aiden Robinson, Karli and Torynn Olsen.
