Tommye A. Reed

Funeral service for Tommye A. Reed, age 95, of Yukon, Oklahoma, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 11^th, 2024, at the Orr Gray Gish Chapel, in Frederick, Oklahoma, with Rev. Les Banks officiating.

Mrs. Reed passed away Wednesday, June 5^th, 2024, at a Mustang, Oklahoma, nursing care center.

Burial will be in the Davidson Cemetery.

She was born July 29, 1928, at the Frederick Clinic Hospital, in Frederick, Oklahoma. She attended school at Davidson and graduated high school with the Class of 1946. She became a member of Davidson Baptist Church in 1940. She was united in marriage to Van L. Reed on October 8^th, 1946, at Vernon, Texas. He preceded her in death on July 5, 2011. She operated the Frederick Food Store after her father died, from 1979 until 1991. She worked at various factory jobs to include: bras, jeans, and automotive parts. She enjoyed fishing and sports, but most of all, her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters: Jimmie and Jackie.

She is survived by her son: Jerry V. Reed and wife Kathy, of Yukon; a grandson: Jered V. Reed and wife Casey, of Yukon; a great grandson: Brett V. Reed, Yukon; a great granddaughter: Grace Reed, of Yukon; a sister: a nephew: Mike Taylor; and niece Cathy, all of Weatherford, Texas.
